PengPu Machine Building Plant is, founded on March 18, 1959, one of the large-sized enterprises in the P. R. China and the key construction machinery enterprise of National and Shanghai Municipality. Peng Pu is one of self-imported & exported enterprises which affiliated to Shanghai Electric Group Corporation.
PengPu Machine Building Plant is located in the center of industry area in Zhabei District of Shanghai, and with convenient transportation. It takes 40~50minutes to two large airports (Pudong International Airport and Hongqiao Airport) and Shanghai seaport. Peng Pu is also near to Shanghai Railway Cargo Station (northern suburb railway station), the exclusive railway line is linked between the plant and cargo station. The main entrance of Peng Pu is opened to GongHe Xin Road--- North-to-South Elevated Road. Highway transportation networks from Peng Pu are directly spread throughout the country.
PengPu Machine Building Plant covers an area of 300,000 square meters, with floorage of 100,000 square meters and with 53,000 m2 landscape area. There are more than 1,300 employees in the plant, including 371 engineers and technicians, 164 senior professional employees at present.
PengPu Machine Building Plant also possesses over 1,600 sets of various equipments, including more than 100 sets of precise, large-sized and rare equipment and about 10 sets of imported equipment. The annual production capacity is approximately 1400 units bulldozers and various heavy industry equipment.
Over the past 47 years, PengPu Machine Building Plant has developed into a specialized machinery manufacturer with the widest types and the highest horsepower of crawler bulldozers. In the early of 2000, Peng Pu successfully combined with Shanghai Construction Machinery Plant with the support of Shanghai Municipal government. Therefore, Peng Pu developed into a factory with bulldozers and hydraulic excavators.
Main products include:
1. Track bulldozers (120hp~410hp),
2. Hydraulic excavators (SW200LC-3, SW220LC-3, SW330LC-3);
3. Derived products (mechanized excavator, pipe layer, rail–moving machine, welding wagon, well-borer and so on);
4. Heavy industry equipment (steel rolling mill pipe cold-rolling mill, mixer, etc.)
PengPu proved to conform to ISO Quality System Certificate in 1998, and ISO9001:2000 in 2002. In July of 2001, Peng Pu passed the second-party quality system by General Equipment Department of PLA.
